Sometimes life is sad...

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) – Michael Jackson’s body will be taken to his Neverland Ranch on Thursday morning for a public viewing Friday, CNN has learned.

Michael Jackson, shown at a rehearsal June 23 -- one of his last -- was to perform in London in July.

A private memorial service is scheduled for Sunday at Neverland. Also, a Jackson will written in 2002 has been found, according to family lawyer Londell McMillan. Planning is under way for a 30-car motorcade carrying Jackson’s remains to leave the Los Angeles area at 10 a.m. for Santa Barbara County, California, on Thursday, a source said.

The question of where Jackson will be buried remains unanswered. The singer’s hometown of Gary, Indiana, is asking the family to send him there, according to the mayor’s spokeswoman. Gary Mayor Rudy Clay has been in contact with the Jackson family, hoping to make that happen, spokeswoman Lalosa Burns said Tuesday.

Clay told Chicago radio station WGN that he expects that Jackson’s body will, at the least, be taken to Gary for a memorial service he is planning next week.”I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana,” Clay said Tuesday. “Now, it may not happen, but I believe it will.”The Jackson memorial service is set for July 10 at U.S. Steel Works ballpark in Gary, Burns said. It would be “a memorial that’s fit for the prince of peace and a memorial that’s fit for Gary, Indiana’s favorite son, the greatest entertainer that ever lived,” Clay said.

A burial site for the singer could be near a proposed Jackson family museum and a performing arts center, Burns said. ”The mayor had spoken with a contact of the Jackson family and expressed our interest in having that to be a part of the history of this great family,” Burns said. “We have not received confirmation on that.”

STM hits the lowveld!

High Flying!

Now if you are expecting to hit the lowveld and see small straw huts with thatch rooves – well then you are correct! ABOUT THE AIRPORT THAT IS – well not entirely, firstly its rather large and second it looks like a first class game lodge from the second you get off the plane!

Then as you drive into the nelspruit city – oh yes it is a city – you realize just how massive this little dorp has recently become. It is now a sprawling town of lights, tall buildings and vibrant businesses! It is a little sad almost to think that this modern dayness has crept onto the doorstep of the Kruger – but just a few miles out side of town you can find the superb Olivers! It is a superb coutry style B&B with a five star chef and superb in house service!

GO SEE OLIVERS WEBSITE!

And finally if you are looking to fire it up a little with the locals? Hit Jock and Java – yes it sounds odd but to be fair IT IS THE LOWVELD – but damn good fun!

Porsche Design Commemorates Launch of new Panamera with Special Collection

Porsche Design has long since evolved from an automotive design studio into a company offering a wide range of highly desirable products, sold worldwide through their own dedicated stores, along with special design work for other companies as well. But all the while they haven’t forgotten their roots. As if to demonstrate just that, the studio has launched a new collection to compliment the new Panamera four-door grand touring car from their automotive sister-company. The collection includes all manner of clothing and accessories for men, women and children, as well as a line of Swiss-made timepieces and a set of fitted luggage. The latter is made of lightweight aluminum and polycarbonate, designed to fit in the trunk space of the new Panamera and available in the same exterior colors to provide a fresh take on the traditional soft-sided fitted luggage offered by other luxury automakers.

The consipiracy theories start – and wont end soon!

Sometimes life is sad...

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) — Michael Jackson’s father says he is concerned about the last moments of his son’s life and about the personal physician who found the pop icon unconscious at the singer’s estate.

Singer Ne-Yo (L) and host Jamie Foxx pay tribute to Michael Jackson at 2009 BET Awards in Los Angeles.

“I have a lot of concerns,” Joe Jackson told CNN’s Don Lemon on the red carpet leading up to the BET Awards ceremony Sunday night. “I can’t get into that, but I don’t like what happened.”

Michael Jackson’s personal physician, who was questioned extensively by investigators over the weekend, found the singer not breathing in bed when he entered the singer’s estate last week, according to the law firm representing the doctor.

However, Jackson did have a slight pulse when Dr. Conrad Murray discovered him Thursday, and Murray tried to resuscitate the singer as he awaited paramedics, a representative with the law firm of Stradley, Chernoff and Alford law firm in Houston, Texas, told CNN Sunday.

Attorney Edward Chernoff is representing Murray. The law firm said reports that Murray injected Jackson with powerful painkillers, such as Demerol or Oxycontin, were false.

Funeral arrangements for Jackson were pending Sunday. “We haven’t gotten to that yet — we’re working on that,” Joe Jackson told CNN’s Lemon

BOKS win the series 2 – 0 again lets maybe leave it at that!

Sport

 			South Africa 28 Lions 25

Is it just me getting pissed off with a SPRINGBOK team THIS GOOD – still under achieving. Now hold on before you go all blue bulls in the face – it may seem like after waiting 24 years to beat the Lions it may seem a bit harsh of me calling them under achievers – but the fact is THEY ARE! Their coaching staff is being handicapped by a narcissistic moron and to echo the words of Mark Keohne this morning in the paper – they are a team run by the players! Dont get me wrong this may not be such a bad thing but they still need overall leadership , guidance, and yes P de villiers – COACHING!

This is perhaps some of the greatest men we have ever seen from 1 – 15 (even including adi jacobs) and they should be putting such a firm stamp on rugby folklore that the hobbits in the shire should be singing about them around the camp fire – instead we are scraping wins against a rather pitiful lions side!!! NOW DO YOU AGREE WITH ME?

Still not? Well lets go on – The wise one (our dear coach) stammers around the press with racist remarks in defense of the short and fat ricky januarie – when he should be a little more focussed on the team at hand. All three replacements actually won us that game on saturday in the form of Morne Steyn who showed perhaps the most world class temperament i have seen since Matt Burke / Andrew Mertens?? Jaque Fourie again managed to smash over what seemed like the whole of the british isles to score what turned out to be a game winner – and FINALLY HEINRICH BRUSSOUW made Schalk Burger look like the eye gouging thug that he has become – most of you wont even realise this until you go to your post gamae analysis but he stole 3 balls when he came and slowed down the rest WHAT A SENSATION THAT BOY IS!

 			South Africa 28 Lions 25

And finally Bryan Habana is back to reclaim where he left the rugby world – in short these men should be rugby gods by now but they are stuck under the usual South African political crap that is slowly dragging them under – the sad thing is only an embarresing tri nations could ever get rid of the wise one – and as a South African fan proudly belting out the anthem with my mates (yes loftus its starts about a minute before you all start singing!!) I cant handle losing to the bloody aussies and kiwis!

ALL SAID AND DONE – SA BEAT THE LIONS IN THE TEST SERIES and there are no place for comments in the history books!

Bring on the tri nations!

The KING is dead!

Sometimes life is sad...

By now you have all heard – tweeted – updated your face book profile and either told or concocted a joke about the demise and death of the king of pop. I was one of you – i must say i was shocked but then again wasnt really because people like this – and by like this i mean people who change the face of teh world in some creative way or another cant grow old – there is too much brilliance / madness pumping thorugh their veins that something has to go wrong – it just wouldnt be right for the E! THS about the person – but having said that i cant say i was upset at first – i mean sure the guy was truly one of the greatest and most talented human beings ever to shape our musical world and he was without doubt the greatest performer STM has ever seen!! NO QUESTION but it was only after i watched a very very poorly put together feature on VH1 of MJs top 40 songs did i realise what the world had lost!

I grew sad when so many songs that had created so many memories for whatever reason in my life would never be performmed live again with such power as only the KING of POP could – finally i realise the feelings my parents went through when possibly the only other king of a musc died – ELVIS!

MJ was a tortured genius from a young age forced to display his talent to the world and i must say im happy he was or the world would never have gained so much in performance / song writing but to be that man who has so much greatness thrust apon him from the age of 5 or 6 must have tormented his soul!

He was a true visionary and a true legend – LONG LIVE THE KING!

Koenigsegg’s Quant Solar Supercar May Hit the Streets Soon

koenigsegg quant, nlv solar, solar powered vehicle, electric vehicle, saab, saab purchase, general motors

Recently supercar company Koenigsegg revealed that it has obtained a controlling interest in Saab, and according to a Swedish website, their plan is to not just keep Saab running, but to use its facilities to manufacture the solar powered Quant supercar in the near future. The Koenigsegg Quant is a fully-electric four person solar powered vehicle with a top speed of 170 mph, and a 0 to 60 speed of around 5.2 seconds. The entire body is covered in a photovoltaic thin-film solar coating designed by NLV that powers the vehicle.

koenigsegg quant, nlv solar, solar powered vehicle, electric vehicle, saab, saab purchase, general motors

Koenigsegg is currently a small car company with a very limited production – in fact, one of the big issues stopping them from producing cars in large numbers has been their lack of a facility to build them in. Koenigsegg’s deal with Saab suggests that the supercar manufacturer will start rolling out its cars in greater numbers, and we can’t wait to see the vehicles on the horizon.

The most impressive feature of the Koenigsegg Quant is the vehicle’s Flow Accumulator Energy Storage (FAES) system. The FAES has no hazardous materials or heavy metals, and according to NLV in can be charged in just 20 minutes to full capacity. The range of the vehicle is a whopping 500 km.

When we first heard of the Quant, we figured that it was a great concept, but would never really make it into production. Well, if Koenigsegg’s plans for Saab come to fruition, we may actually see this on the streets sometime soon.
