These elections are starting to annoy me!

VOTE – PLEASE VOTE dont be lazy and dont be stupid – VOTE!! I say this with absolute sincerity because each person has a right to vote and it is actually irresponsible that after years and years of people giving their lives so that their children can vote, you sit on your fat arse and stuff your face with sushi while the people are out there making a choice!

Now having said that this election is really getting silly now – i mean come on, YES BARACK kickked ass in the US but be fair – thats no reason for our politicians to go and rip off everything he did so brilliantly and originally. Take the whiney morons from the DA and try spot the difference between their logo and Obamas?

Then you have Julius Malema (100% ANC 20% Mathematics) taking control of the ANC campaign with WE CAN in the middle of everything – fortunately one very smart South African spotted the misprint and added in a word!

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be original in everything you do – PLEASE!

How cool is this treehouse!!

tv treehouse image

It is an old architectural trick used since the invention of mirrored glass: covering buildings with the reflective material and declaring that they blend in with the surroundings. Most architects use it to convince wary citizens that it is OK if their building is tall because it will reflect the sky and nature. The rendering always makes the building disappear, and the reality is always a big clunky mirrored box.

But a mirrored box can be elegant, too, such as this treehouse by Swedish firm Tham & Videgard Hansson Arkitekter. TreeHugger loves treehouses (see our roundup of them here) when they are designed to minimize impact on the surrounding landscape. And in this case, it looks like the architects have pulled it off successfully.

DVICE notes that “There doesn’t appear to be a bathroom or a ladder. That could make for a, um, rather uncomfortable night, at least for guests of the female variety.

What have the Pres’s been driving through the years?

We brought you the current PRESLIMO now we bring you the history!

From the early days of automobiles to high tech, prestigious, tank-like vehicles, the Presidential State Car has always been an important part of the Chief of Staff’s entourage – and some of those rides have been Cadillac based cars.

Put it this way, if you’re gonna be getting busy in the backseat with the first lady you know you want to do it in style.  Better yet, if you’re going to be getting head from one of the younger women in your administration, you can be damned straight you’d want a smooth ride.

And Cadillacs?  You could be going 70 mph and think you were going 10.  Now that’s my idea of a comfortable ride.  But let’s take a look at 6 Cadillacs that Presidents have pimped over the years.

1928 Cadillac Town Car – Calvin Coolidge

Any similarities with mobsters here?  Coolidge was the first President to pick a Cadillac.  Oddly enough he had an affinity for the same car Al Capone was driven around in.

1953 Eldorado – Dwight D. Eisenhower

Eisenhower always had a love for American Cars and why not choose a caddy?  Dwight was the first President to go with a drop top model.  This car rules.  Unfortunately due to the Kennedy assassination, the drop top will more than likely never exist again as a Presidential car.

1983 Cadillac Fleetwood – Ronald Reagan

Good old Ronnie Reagan, former Hollywood heart throb and 41st President of the United States, switched from Lincoln limos to the now famous Cadillac Fleetwood. This type of stretch Caddy became so popular with its many appearances on TV shows, GM produced a non-armored version for sale to the general public

Presidential Series Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham – Bill Clinton

Do I even have to mention Monica here?  So much room for the knees!

2001 Cadillac Deville & 2005 DTS – George W. Bush

Such a smart looking car for such a dumb guy riding in it.

If you havent yet – book a ticket – get on a plane AND GO!!

Some things just need to be done – and Amsterdam is one of those – this city is just magical at most hours of night or day – probably due to an artificial high but never the less where else can you have a great coffee and a hand rolled hashie at 9 am.

There are some serious daytime highlights though of which the Heineken experience is most certainly one! The old one was truly fun and the new one is even better – so get a bicycle and start peddling through the streets people!

Located in the former Heineken brewery in the heart of Amsterdam, the world’s most-recognized beer brand reopened the Heineken Experience after a year of extensive renovations. Both a museum and a pilgrimage for all beer lovers, the remodeled version is an interactive journey that lives up to the brand’s name in an entertaining and contemporary way. You get to check out the whole brewing process, enjoy a beer with your pals in the green lit kiosk and have the opportunity to create and take home a personalized bottle of Heineken.

I told you this guy was too cool!

You can imagine what Texan half animal George W was carrying into the sacred oval office everyday – now have a look at what Barrack is going to be using to keep the worlds most precious documents safe – and if you dont understand just how cool this brand is – GO CHECK THEM OUT
